Open Mindfulness Meditation offers 4 virtual drop-in guided mindfulness meditation sessions each week.
Monday mornings from 9:00 to 9:40 am
Tuesday mornings from 11 am to noon
Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 7:30 pm
Friday mornings from 11 am to noon
These virtual meditation sessions are free and open to anyone, whether they’re new to meditation or experienced, and are secular (non-religious). As the sessions are drop-ins, you can join us without registering ahead of time. Contact us for the Zoom link.
Our mindfulness sessions are free to anyone. They are led by a rotating group of experienced meditators, several of whom are teachers of mindfulness meditation, all of whom are volunteering their time. The Calendar page will tell you who’s leading which sessions. As covid restrictions ease, we will again offer a one-day retreat at least once a year.
The format for each gathering varies. The one-hour sessions include two 20-minute mindfulness meditations (the first one is always guided) and an opportunity for discussion. Some groups also incorporate short readings or talks by the leader. The 30 and 40 minute sessions include a 20-25 minute guided meditation, followed by opportunities to check-in, ask questions, or hear a relevant poem or quote.
No registration is required. Just contact us for the zoom link at openmindfulnessmeditation@gmail.com, and then drop into the session of your choice. Join us in practicing being present and aware with compassion and kindness in this vast present moment. Beginners and experienced meditators are welcome.
