Open Mindfulness Meditation includes Ann Arbor Open Meditation, Saline Open Meditation, and Ypsilanti Open Meditation. We are now working together to provide weekly drop-in guided mindfulness meditation sessions, currently online. The meditations are open to anyone, whether they’re new to meditation or experienced, and are secular (non-religious). In addition, we also offer two Mindful Movement sessions (T’ai Chi) each week. As the sessions are drop-ins, you can join us without registering ahead of time. Contact us for the Zoom link.
Our mindfulness sessions are free to anyone, with or without any meditation experience. They are led by a rotating group of experienced meditators, several of whom are teachers of mindfulness meditation, all of whom are volunteering their time. We typically offer a retreat at least once a year.
The format for each gathering varies, but includes two 20-minute mindfulness meditation (the first one is always guided) and a brief opportunity for discussion. Some groups also incorporate short readings or talks by the leader.
No registration is required. Just drop in and join us in practicing being present and aware in this vast moment. Beginners and experienced meditators are welcome.
