Open Mindfulness Meditation offers weekly drop-in guided mindfulness meditation sessions. We currently offer virtual sessions on Monday mornings from 9:00-9:40, Tuesday mornings from 11 am to noon, Thursday evenings from 7:30 pm to 8:30, and Friday mornings from 11 am to noon.
The meditation sessions are open to anyone, whether they’re new to meditation or experienced, and are secular (non-religious). As the sessions are drop-ins, you can join us without registering ahead of time. Contact us for the Zoom link.
Our mindfulness sessions are free to anyone. They are led by a rotating group of experienced meditators, several of whom are teachers of mindfulness meditation, all of whom are volunteering their time. The Calendar page will tell you who’s leading which sessions. Once covid restrictions are lifted, we will again offer a one-day retreat at least once a year.
The format for each gathering varies. The one-hour sessions include two 20-minute mindfulness meditations (the first one is always guided) and a brief opportunity for discussion. Some groups also incorporate short readings or talks by the leader.
No registration is required. Just drop in and join us in practicing being present and aware in this vast present moment. Beginners and experienced meditators are welcome.
